What makes this film entirely unbelievable is not the tragically stern father, not the blood disease with christmas-gift timing, not the sharp anger of the lovers' dialogue: it is that they love each other at all, despite their hideous haircuts. I cannot fathom it.

Still, it made me want to play in the snow with someone. But then, perhaps the desire for the outdoors was just that I wanted to get the hell away from the screen.
